For those who identify as littles, entering this headspace can be a delightful, fun, and therapeutic experience. Sometimes though, it can be really hard to get into that mindset. There are a lot of littles out there that can just switch into littlespace very easily and know their triggers, but there are some that need a gentle push and support from a loved one to get them there. Sometimes I'm the kind that needs both. I have a long day and all I need to do is change into a huge shirt and tall fuzzy thigh high socks and bam! Smol. Then there are the days where my stress is so high that I can't get there and my Daddy needs to help me a little bit.
Here's a list of some simple, but effective ways you can help your little into littlespace:
1. Give them head and bottom pats
2. Sit them on your lap and talk to them like they're the smallest thing in the world
3. All of the forehead smooches
4. Call them their favorite pet names! (Babygirl/boy, little one, kitten, cupcake, squirrel, etc)
5. Hold their hand (especially while crossing the street)
6. Tickle her and give raspberries on their tummy
7. Cut up their food for them and serve on a cute dish
8. Brush their hair
9. Buckle their seat belt for them
10. Give them a bath and wash them while they can play with bath toys
11. Read them bedtime stories
12. Wipe their mouth when messy
13. Bring them choccy milk or juice in either a sippy cup or a cute cup with a straw
14. Ask them how small they are
15. Put on their favorite little show and wrap them up in a fuzzy blanket
I hope this list gives you some good ideas that can help support your little one heading into littlespace. I personally love it when my Daddy does any of these things and I'm sure any little would love them too!
